Support Services Available
Health Services
Students on the Mississauga campus can make appointments with physicians or nurses at the UTM Health & Counselling Centre.
Counselling Services
The Health and Counselling Centre offers personal counselling for any student who may be experiencing stressful events in their life.
Academic Support
The Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre provides workshops for students to learn and improve on skills such as time management and note-taking.
Peer Mentorship
The Mississauga campus of University of Toronto has a peer mentoring program for students registered with Accessibility Services.
Library Services
The University of Toronto Mississauga Library offers various resources for students including databases, journals, e-books, and e-videos. The library also provides services for students such as loan services, research help, and learning zones. The library provides accessible material for persons with disabilities and additional assistance can be provided by library staff.
Academic Advising
The University of Toronto Mississauga provides academic advising services to students, such as understanding degree requirements, choosing specialists, majors and minors, and other academic concerns, through individual departments as well as the Office of the Registrar.

Residence and Housing
On-Campus Housing
The University of Toronto Mississauga Campus’ Housing Office offers traditional, townhouse, and suite-style accommodations. Residence is guaranteed to all incoming first-year students if they apply by the given deadline. Traditional-style residence units consists of 2 private bedrooms with a shared washroom. Townhouse-style accommodations consist of 4 single or double occupancy bedrooms, shared washrooms, a shared kitchen and shared living space. Suite-style residences consist of 4 double occupancy bedrooms, 2 shared bathrooms, a full kitchen, and living and dining space. All building include the folllowing amenities:
- Common lounges
- Common kitchens (traditional style only)
- Study areas
- Access to a front desk
- Maintenance
- Laundry facilities
All residence rooms are furnished, and include internet access and local telephone services. Residence rates vary depending on building and room selection. Meal plans are mandatory and operate on a declining balance system of basic and flex dining dollars. Several different styles of meal plan are available.
Several barrier-free residences are available. Students requiring special accommodations must complete the Special Accommodation Needs in Residence From when applying for residence.
Off-Campus Housing

Mississauga Transit
The MiWay (Mississauga Transit) is comprised of buses. Students at the University of Toronto Mississauga receive a bus pass called the U-Pass (Universal Bus Pass), which provides unlimited access to MiWay transit, included in their tuition. MiWay offers Routes and Schedules for each of their bus routes.
Accessibility
MiWay provides accessible buses with features such as floor and kneeling capabilities, two wheelchair and scooter securement areas, external bus announcements which will announce what bus is arriving, and automated next stop announcements. MiWay has a policy where only a single fare is required when a passenger with a disability travels with a Support Person.
The regional municipality of Peel has created TransHelp which offers a door-to-door transit service for persons who are unable to ride conventional transit due to a functional mobility disability. More information about TransHelp, including eligibility guidelines and the application process, is available on their website.
